Presentation, Presentation, Presentation: Mastering Calls for Entries with Allison Jones Hunt (Saturday and Sunday)

You have created the work, now how do you get it seen? This intensive weekend workshop is designed to demystify the process of entering art exhibitions and help you present your work with professional polish. This class creates a dedicated space to master the logistics of being an exhibiting artist, where you will learn to properly photograph your work, select the strongest images, and decode complex prospectuses. We'll also explore the written elements of calls for entries, helping you craft an authentic artist biography and statement that resonate with jurors. Beyond the application, we will get hands-on with the physical presentation of your art, breaking down gallery standards for framing, wiring, mounting, and hardware to ensure your work looks impeccable upon delivery. Whether you are preparing for your first entry or looking to refine your professional presentation to increase your acceptance rate, this workshop will give you the tools and confidence to hit "submit."

Cost note: Additional $10 materials fee to be paid to instructor at the beginning of workshop.

Allison Jones Hunt  Allison Jones Hunt is an Albuquerque-based abstract artist using bold color, intuitive form, and  layers to create passionate paintings that spark reactions across the emotional spectrum. A graduate of Reed College, Allison has been recognized as one of New Mexico's Emerging Artists by the Harwood Art Center and her work has been exhibited throughout the Southwest and Pacific Northwest. As a disabled woman, Allison embraces adaptive techniques and innovative approaches in her creative and teaching practices.
