From Rubens, Rembrandt, John Singer Sargent to todays contemporary masters; Juliette Aristides, Clio Newton and Nathan Fowkes, we will be inspired to work from an array of drawing techniques using references from old master copies and from reference photography of the nude or semi-nude figure models. Here we will be using several different drawing mediums, such as pencil, charcoal, pen & ink and pastel. We will be using drawing methods to define form and depict volume. We will be adding pen & ink and pastel ( condensed black charcoal ) to explore contemporary figure drawing techniques. The photo reference materials will be provided by the instructor. Come ready to learn a variety of drawing techniques through different mediums and styles of artists, throughout the ages.
