March 22-26, 2010 - 9am-4pm Tuition: $475 New Mexico Art League Class Registration Form You may register online and return here to pay securely on line, or mail your payment. If you pay online, please print your receipt for your records. Class Description: Working in oils in the plein air tradition, this workshop will provide participants the opportunity to work directly from nature. Working with a naturalistic approach, we will explore color and tonal relationships in order to create a believable sense of light and space. As we continue, opportunities for experimentation and alternative approaches will be explored, building on the foundation of tonality and investigating aspects of structure. Individual guidance will be given according to each student’s skill level. Directness and spontaneity will be encouraged! Jordan Wolfson received his M.F.A. from Yale University School of Art. He has taught painting and drawing for the past 18 years. Wolfson has exhibited both in the United States and abroad. His work is represented in various public collections, and has won numerous awards, including the Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. Wolfson is represented by the DFN Gallery in New York City, the Van Straaten Gallery in Denver and Rothschild Fine Arts in Tel Aviv. He currently teaches at the University of Colorado at Denver, and the Art Students League of Denver. His work can be seen at www.jordanwolfson.com. |
