Every painter who has ever struggled to capture the fleeting colors of nature will appreciate the innovative yet practical ideas presented in this workshop. Whether you are a tonalist or colorist, the concepts will reflect the artists personal response to a particular scene. About Julie: An illustrator for more than 25 years, Julie Ford Oliver returned to fine art after her last child graduated from college. She currently paints in a variety of media allowing the subject matter to guide her choices. Working out of a spacious studio situated in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Oliver relates that she is happiest when she is at the easel.In addition to a one-woman show at the Americana Museum, El Paso, Texas, her work has been exhibited internationally and nationally in many shows including the book and exhibition Desert Echo Woman’s Museum, Dallas, Texas, and Along The Rio Grande at the Chamizal National Memorial, El Paso, and The Museum of the Department of the Interior, Washington, DC.
