Each
student will be met at his or her skill level. The goal of the class
is to confirm the skills, perceptions, and self-expression of each
student while providing technical information and instruction to
bring about greater proficiency. Students of all skill levels are
welcome. Mr. Griffin emphasizes "classical naturalism"
in this class, however studies of different approaches may be made
on an individual basis.

About
the Instructor:
Mr.
Griffin began oil painting 40 years ago. He holds a BFA in Painting
from Texas Tech University and a MM from the School of Music, also
at Texas Tech. He is currently a member of the Rocky Mountain Plein
Air Painters and a signature member of the Oil Painters of America.
He also teaches art and music at Rio Grande Enrichment Studies,
a mid-high and high school tutorial program in Albuquerque. "I
encourage artists to avoid "isms" in art and life, and
to beware of "false-identifications" in their creative
expressions.
