8-week class will cover the basics of drawing including perspective,
proportion, and composition to strengthen your drawing skills. A good
drawing is essential for all types of visual art or it can be the
end product. All skill levels are invited to join this class. We will
focus on including buildings and people in your paintings.
Jerry
has been drawing for nearly 60 years and likes to tell stories with
pencil, pen and ink, and scratchboard drawings. People relate to
his subjects, whether a western scene with cowboys and horses, rodeo
events, trains, or Civil War reenactments. Jerry has done numerous
commissioned drawings and participated in dozens and dozens of juried
art shows. Many of his drawings are available in Limited Edition
Prints.
Jerry
drew the pen and ink illustrations depicting Civil War battle scenes
for the Battle At Valley's Ranch (Glorietta, NM) (ISBN 0-943369-00-2).
Edited and with an introduction by Dr. Marc Simmons, local writer
and historian. The three major illustrations from the book have
been made into Limited Edition prints and are collected by Civil
War buffs.
