waid@griffin-art.com
Web site: Griffin-Art.com

June 7 - June 11, 2010 (5 days)
Monday-Friday, 9:00AM - 4:30p.m.

Limited to 8 students.

Tuition: $375

Mr. Griffin will take students to different locations each day, so that different problems for the artist may be encountered and solved. The goal of the class is to confirm the skills, perceptions, and self-expression of each student while providing the tried and tested methodologies of plein air painting. Students of all skill levels are welcome.

Three full days of painting in beautiful New Mexico!

About the instructor:

Mr. Griffin began oil painting 40 years ago. He holds a BFA in Painting from Texas Tech University and a MM from the School of Music, also at Texas Tech. He is currently a member of the Rocky Mountain Plein Air Painters and a signature member of the Oil Painters of America. He also teaches art and music at Rio Grande Enrichment Studies, a mid-high and high school tutorial program in Albuquerque. "I encourage artists to avoid "isms" in art and life, and to beware of "false-identifications" in their creative expressions.
