Full Figure Fridays and Open Studio Thursday Mornings

Picasso said, "One should paint and draw from the figure all your life."

The NMAL is offering artists in the community a unique opportunity to do just that.

Unique because it will offer long poses over extended periods for artists drawing and painting in all mediums, including oil.

General Schedule Live Model Sessions:

Thursday and Friday sessions are continuous except when preempted by shows or special events - best to call on Fridays to confirm sessions for the next week.

Full Figure Fridays:

Long poses over multiple sessions to allow completion of works in all media, including oils.

Sessions every Friday

Two sessions: 9:30 AM - 12:30 and 1:30 to 4:30

Sessions will be same model, same pose for four sessions, morning and afternoon for two successive Fridays. A new model will begin for the next four sessions.

Evening sessions have been temporally suspended. We will resume evening sessions if there is enough interest. If you are interested in Friday evening sessions let us know! Send a note to Cynthia Rowland.

Model Fee Schedule:

1 Daytime Session (morning or afternoon) - Members: $6, Non-members: $8

2 Sessions same day- members: $12
Non-members: $15

Thursday Mornings:

Sessions each Thursday, 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM (morning only).

Short and long poses for artists in dry media, acrylic, and water-based oil (no solvents).

Non-members: $8
